Track Your Employee Work Hours by Using a 2 Week Timesheet
If you are trying to track your employee’s work hours when they are clocking in and out of the office, you could use a 2-week timesheet template that you can prepare and be handed out during their induction. You will have to make sure that they fill in their timesheet when they come to the office and when they are bout to go home at the end of the day. This way, you will be able to know exactly what time they go into the office and what time they leave the office. For employees that are doing overtime, this can also be used for them to track their overtime hours and match it when they get paid at the end of the month with their salary.
Some many organizations and businesses are highly invested in the punctuality of their employee’s hours to ensure that they are working productively for the best outcome of the company and individual’s benefits. Many are using automated software these days to do their working timesheet as well. However, using a biweekly timesheet or what people usually call a 2-week timesheet manually can still be viable especially if it is a small company where they could still handin their timesheet at the end of the 2 weeks to the HR or finance department for them to review.
Using software to track your employee working hours can be unnecessary if you only have few employees working in the company. For a start-up company, for example, it is still sufficient if you use a normal and manual timesheet without having to use an automated one. There are also a lot of different templates that you could choose from and customize yourself to make it personal for the company to use depending on the content that you want in it. Usually, it will include the date, the month, the year, the time of clocking in and clocking out, the name of the employee, and their ID number.
A 2-week timesheet is usually very simple and easy to be used for all the employees. With the HR explaining their use during the induction of the employee once they joined the company, they should be able to fill them in every day, especially during their probation period. Other than those mentioned above, you could also include the overtime hours, sick leave, holiday, annual leave, total working hours, and many more.
