Many of us know that a bill of lading is used as a legal document for shipping goods from one country to another. It is an important document that the shipment must have so that during the checking of the shipment and goods of all the documents and records that they have. The document itself is issued by the logistic freight companies that will carry the goods from one port to another port (overseas shipment).

It is used as a document to change ownership and give information that the goods are on the ship, they are going to be shipped, and they have left the port of departure from the sender’s country or town.

When the new owner receives the goods at the port of arrival, the documents need to have the same information that they have at the data that they have in the system of the port or the new owner.

Having the bill of lading, it could make the new owner recorded on the system as the legal owner of the goods when the ID that they have shown matches the data of the system when they come to the port to claim their goods. It is also used as a contract to ship your goods through ports. The contract will serve as a legal document from the previous owner to the receiver.
