What Should be Included in The Employee Training Checklist?
During the orientation period of new employees, they should have a guide of what they need to complete. An employee training checklist provided by the HR Department or their supervisor will be able to help them with it too.
When you recruit new employees, you’d want to make sure that they can start their job nicely by providing them with all the training and orientation during the induction week. By using a checklist, they will know which task to complete and it will help them to complete them faster as well. These checklists can be created at the beginning so, during each new employee’s orientation, you could easily edit the names and use them again without having to create one from scratch anymore.
Moving from one company to another, new employees will need to be able to adapt to new colleagues, new work tasks, new environment, new job descriptions, and a new culture of organisation. In some companies, they might also celebrate their success differently as well.
Here is where the orientation and induction week could help them settle in better. With the help of the employee training checklist that they have, it could be a guide to them in getting through the week and to know more about the new company that they will be a part of.
There are a few things that need to be included in the new employee training checklist, such as introduction to the company as a whole, introduction to different departments, a tour of the organisation (this could include introductions to work colleagues or team members), going through the company’s handbook and policy, and many more.
If you are doing an orientation for a new company, you should always ask questions about things that you are not sure of. This way, they will be able to help you and you will be able to go through the checklist faster.
